Pick the Right Method
Most club kits combine two: a sublimated shirt with an embroidered crest, or DTF names on a sublimated jersey.
| Method | Works on | Colours | Feel | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sublimation | Polyester and high-poly blends with a white or light base | Unlimited, including gradients and photo detail | None: the fabric feels exactly as it did before printing | Full kits with all-over designs |
| Embroidery | Almost any fabric, plus caps and bags | Several thread colours per design; fine gradients aren't possible | Raised, textured, premium | Crests, sponsors, initials and staff wear |
| DTF Transfers | Cotton, polyester and blends, light or dark | Full colour, including gradients and white | A thin, flexible layer on the surface | Names, numbers, small runs and dark garments |
| DTG Printing | Cotton and high-cotton blends | Full colour, including photos and gradients | Soft, part of the fabric | Supporter tees, merchandise and small runs |
| Patches | Jackets, caps, bags, fleece and heavier garments | Woven, embroidered, chenille, PVC rubber, leather | Raised and dimensional | Crests on outerwear, caps and bags |

Customisation FAQ
Which method is best for a match kit?
Sublimation for the shirt, shorts and socks. Crests and sponsors can be sublimated too, or embroidered for texture.
Can I combine methods on one garment?
Yes. A sublimated jersey with an embroidered crest and DTF names is a common combination.
What artwork do you need?
Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) are best. High-resolution PNGs work for many methods, and files are checked before production.
Can you help if I only have an idea?
Yes. Describe it, or start in the online kit designer, and it will be turned into a mockup.
